What is Polyester staple fibre and its uses

Polyester Staple Fibre is mostly used in spinning, weaving non-woven. PSF is mainly used for fibre fillings in cushions and sofa. It is also used in spinning to make Polyester Spun Yarn which is knitted or weaved into fabrics. PSF is mainly categorized Solid and Hollow Polyester staple fibre. It is a synthetic artificial fibre prepared from PET/Polyester waste and post consumed PET bottles. Wadding, filtration industries, as a poly fill for stuffing. Hollow Polyester staple fibre gives good flexibility properties and is recycled to make finest pillows, cushions and quilts.

Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF) is somewhat Polyester Fibre made directly from PTA and MEG or PET Chips or from Reprocessed PET Bottle Flakes. Polyester Staple Fibre has developed as the fastest-growing fibre in the middle of all types of manufactured fibres. Polyesters are prepared by polymerisation of Filtered Terephthalic Acid and Mono Ethylene Glycol. The Melt spun filaments obtained by melt rotating is so-called tow. The tow is subjected to further process like drawing, crimping and gyration finish application and then cut into proper sizes to get cut fibres nearly equal in length to cotton fibres. These cut fibres are recognised as Polyester Staple Fibre.
